MOBILE VIEWING TIPS
Watching on your TV
Streaming from a phone/tablet to TV
If you are using an Apple TV or AirPlay enabled TV (and iPhone or iPad), use the YouTube app. Once in the YouTube viewer, tap on the Cast button (between the auto-play and CC buttons) and select AirPlay & Bluetooth devices. Select your Apple TV.
If you are using a Google Cast enabled TV or TV box, use the YouTube app. Once in the YouTube viewer, tap on the Cast button (between the auto-play and CC buttons) and select your TV.
Streaming directly on a TV
On any smart TV or smart TV box that has the YouTube app installed, you can search for “Sebastian Berofsky senior recital” and click on the first result.
Plugging a phone/tablet into a TV (more detailed instructions here)
If you are using an iPhone or iPad (not iPad Pro 2018 or later), you will need a lightning to HDMI adapter. If you are using an iPad Pro 2018 or later or an Android phone, you will need a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Plug the HDMI cable into the adapter and into a free HDMI port on your TV. Select the corresponding input on your TV.
Watching in 4K (not available for Bowdoin quartet performance)
You must use the YouTube app to set a specific resolution. To set the resolution to 4K, click on the Settings button (the 3 dots in the top right corner), tap Quality, tap Advanced, then select 2160p.
Note: if you are using any iPhone other than the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12 series, or iPhone 13 series, set the resolution to 1080p since the screen is not 4K.
Using the Chat
Below the video (when not in full screen), you can use the chat to type messages before, during, or after the performance. Click on Chat publicly as [your name]… and type your message.
To use the chat, you must have a Google account with a YouTube channel. It will prompt you to sign in at the bottom of the chat box.
